Stephanie is both a professional chef and registered dietitian nutritionist. After graduating with honors in Food Science and Medical Dietetics, she spent years as a Medical Nutritional Therapist in healthcare before following her passion into the culinary arts. She received her professional chef’s training at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City which is recognized for their wellness curriculum. Stephanie honed her culinary skills for five years as a key player at Millennium Restaurant in San Francisco, a premiere fine dining establishment serving conscious cuisine, before advancing into Sous Chef. Over the span of seven years, she taught culinary classes for cancer prevention and survival at Bay Area hospitals as well as The Cancer Community of East Bay. Most recently, Stephanie held the position of Executive Chef for LMI (Lifestyle Medicine Institute) at St. Helena Hospital. For almost six years she designed clinically tested meals, instructed hands-on culinary classes and demonstrations, and taught the Food as Medicine lecture series for LMI. She is excited to be part of the Miraval Life in Balance team and looks forward to delivering fun classes, making personal connections, and inspiring culinary creativity.
